Latest News from RLC PTSA:

Trivia Night is for the Whole Family!

May 12, 2025
Will Trivia Night this Thursday (5/15 at 6pm in the MPR) with Minute to Win It games be fun for the whole family? The answer is YES!

The trivia questions (and bonus follow up questions) are family-friendly, range from “easier” to “harder”, and include questions about sports, history, animals, kid movies, science, etc. The Minute to Win It games can be played by all ages as well. There are some questions that your preschooler may be able to answer easier than your high schooler & vice versa. That’s the beauty of playing as a team!

So, will it be your team who gets to leave with our “Top Banana” Awards?

Staff Appreciation Week: Day 5

May 9, 2025
Today RLC Staff can take home a gift bag filled with items we hope encourage them to take a moment to “relax & unwind”.

Thank you to everyone who made these bags possible, from your gift of time, creativity, &/or donations. The gifted items were made possible through the generous “Self-Care Bag” donations from RLC Families. Additional RLC volunteers gave the gift of time to assemble the bags. Finally, Kaelyn H. (9th grade PARADE Student) wrote a ‘worry stone poem’ to include in each bag with a worry stone.

Staff Appreciation Week may be wrapping up, but we’ve still got a little more fun to go: Raffle Winners will be announced next week at our GMM!

The GMM will run from 6-6:30pm (pizza available during this time with pre-order) and games will start directly afterwards. Get ready for trivia questions with some Minute to Win It games thrown in!

Pizza Pre-Orders are open NOW for our Trivia Night & General Membership Meeting on May 15th. All pre-orders are due May 5th! To purchase pizza, visit the RLC PTSA Givebacks store & follow the instructions for how to order & pay:https://rlcptsa.givebacks.com/store/items/1176720

Cost of Pizza: Pizza will be $2/slice.
Options available: cheese, pepperoni, gluten-free cheese.
Cost to participate in Trivia game: FREE!

Please note: While we want to recoup some of the pizza cost, we don’t want this to be a hardship on anyone. Your request will remain confidential.

While there may be a few extra slices available for purchase at the event, we can’t guarantee that will be the case. Your best bet is to pre-order now.

Donuts with Grown Ups Cancelled

April 15, 2025
With apologies for the late notice, we’ve decided to cancel the Donuts with Grown Ups events scheduled for next week. Given the low number of RSVPs, we can’t justify purchasing the minimum of 25 dozen donuts. There are times when RSVPs are needed in order for events to happen and this was one of them. While this event has been cancelled, we look forward to Staff Appreciation Week May 5th-9th (with an opportunity still available to write notes of appreciation to staff), our GMM & Trivia Night on May 15th (with Pizza RSVPs required), and supporting our Graduating Seniors in June. Thank you for your understanding.

Staff Appreciation Week

April 8, 2025
Staff Appreciation Week is May 5th-9th, and RLC PTSA is preparing to celebrate RLC Staff with something special each day of that week! We’re asking for your help to make 2 of the days possible:

1. Self-Care Day: One $10 SAW (Staff Appreciation Week) donation helps to cover the cost of 1 Self-Care Bag full of items meant to encourage RLC Staff to relax & unwind. A total of 20 bags is needed. Donations (cash/check/card) can be made here: SAW Donations.

Note: While we wish to keep the contents of these bags a surprise until Staff Appreciation Week, please reach out to rlcptsa@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like to know more about what is planned for these bags. We’ll post photos during SAW week so check back here (www.rlcptsa.org) or the RLC PTSA Facebook page during the week of May 5th-9th.

2. Appreciation Breakfast: Tentatively scheduled for Monday, May 5th. Check out the sign-up genius for more details, including drop off details & information about an alternative drop off location.  Sign up to donate a breakfast item here: SAW Breakfast Sign Up.
Thank you for helping to celebrate RLC teachers & staff who have worked tirelessly this year to support our students. Questions?  Reach out to rlcptsa@gmail.com.
